Andrew Anderson is a native Oregonian musician whose story begins back in the 90's in the rural towns of Eastern Oregon when his father gave him a Yamaha keyboard and a Tascam 4 track recorder. He's been making tapes of his experimentations with electronic music since his high school years. Now, he's here to bring us his latest album, '4rchtypes'.
Here, Andrew takes oscillations and feild recordings of various forms and constructs them into a breathing being, creating fluctuations of timbre with a kind delicacy not unlike the great Tim Hecker. 4rchtypes is an exploration of Jungian psychoanalysis, and Andrew dives through the human consciousness to find the psychic framework with which we are built from.
